Downtown Grand Rapids Inc. is hosting two free World Cup watch parties this weekend at Las Canchas, the Community Futsal Courts.

Las Canchas are located at 250 Seward Ave. NW, just south of Bridge Street. The two featured matches are:

Saturday, November 26, 2023:

• Argentina v. Mexico

• 2:00pm

Sunday, November 27, 2023:

• Germany v. Spain
• 2:00pm

DGRI is partnering with LiveSpace to bring an outdoor LED screen to Las Canchas. This event is free and open to the public. Last Mile Café will be on-site with hot beverages. Some seating will be provided, but attendees are encouraged to bring a chair.

Las Canchas opened in October and transformed underutilized surface parking into a public urban recreation amenity. They joined a growing list of outdoor recreation amenities including two Downtown Dog Parks and 555 Monroe, a multi-use space with a skatepark.
