Downtown Grand Rapids Inc. (DGRI) is accepting applications for a new round of Activate Grants.
The Activate Grant program offers funding for public space activations that bring vibrancy to Downtown Grand Rapids and culturally enhance our community. Proposals can include artworks, events, murals and more. Proposed activations must be suitable for all audiences, accessible for all abilities and open to the public.
DGRI is offering two opportunities for interested individuals to learn more about the program, as well as general best practices and strategies for successful placemaking projects:
- In-Person Session: Public Space Activation 101 (free class, please follow the link to register)
- Speakers: Katie Moore (DGRI), Two Eagles Marcus (local creator), Valerie Wahna (local creator)

Activate Grant applications are due by 11:59 PM on Sunday, March 10, 2024.
