The Grand River Greenway is an emerging network of public parks and other civic amenities connected by 80 miles of multi-use trails throughout Kent County. Over the next 5 to 10 years approximately $300 million will be invested parks, trails and other recreational assets to complete the Greenway.
This commitment from multiple public and private partners to enhance public spaces creates an opportunity to continue the tradition of public art investment in Grand Rapids.
A cohesive public art strategy specific to the river corridor is required in order to maximize this opportunity. This Request for Proposals seeks a qualified facilitator or team of firms to facilitate the creation of a cohesive curatorial vision and plan of action for riverfront public art along the Grand River Greenway.
The full Request for Proposals can be accessed here.
Proposals must be submitted by 5:00 PM EST on Friday, April 26, 2024.
Inquires and requests for additional information should be directed to Catherine Zietse (czietse@downtowngr.org) and Kim Van Driel (kvandriel@downtowngr.org).
