DGRI is hosting three free watch party nights to celebrate the World Cup in North America.
LiveSpace is rolling out the big screen and each watch party will feature food trucks, pickup soccer, entertainment and more.
On June 19, the first watch party, the GR World Cup Block Party, will be co-hosted with Soccer Rebellion, AC Grand Rapids and Meijer State Games.
This all day event begins with the Meijer State Games Street Soccer Youth Tournament at 9:00 AM. At 3:00 PM, team USA will kick off against Australia on the big screen, followed by Scotland v. Morocco at 6:00 PM and Brazil v. Haiti at 8:30 PM.
In addition to the tournament and group stage matches, the Block Party includes:
- DJs and live hip hop performances
- Street artists, barbers and local vendors
- The Bridge Street League
