Return to the River is taking attendees on a cosmic adventure to space for this year's festival.
This otherworldly theme is reflected throughout the festival in the art installations, riverwalk activities, live music, and beyond.
DGRI created Return to the River in 2022 in pursuit of the community-informed goal to activate the riverfront. Since then, the festival has grown in both size and stature. Now in its fifth year, the two-day celebration of music and art includes:
- Two performance stages featuring 17 DJs and 11 bands (full lineup below)
- Over 20 free "Cosmic Activations" (riverwalk activities) including body marbling, live art, wood block printing and other crafts, hand drawn portraits and caricatures, free cotton candy, a scavenger hunt mission, and more
- Over 20 food trucks and carts
- A Merchant and Makers Market on the Sixth Street Bridge with over 60 unique vendors
Each year, large-scale, traveling art installations are featured, as well. For this year's festival, we are including two interactive pieces: POP! by Gentilhomme and Astral Relics by FuzzPop Workshop.
