The Grand Rapids Downtown Development Authority (DDA) seeks proposals for the purchase and development of property located at 158 Oakes Street, S.W. in Downtown Grand Rapids.
The approximately 40,000 square foot property is located on extended Ottawa Avenue, S.W., adjacent to the Studio Park project currently under construction.
Proposals should consider the community goals stated in GR Forward, part of the City Master Plan, and fit the context of the surrounding neighborhood. The property is within the City Center Zone District and the Downtown Height Overlay-A area.
Downtown Grand Rapids Inc. administers the DDA. Staff will evaluate qualified proposals using the following criteria:
- Scale of investment
- Project quality and timing
- Ability to demonstrate project financing
- Project compatibility with neighborhood
- Deliverability on GR Forward goals
- Developer record of successful similar developments
